Overview of contract

On behalf of our client, a leading financial services institution in Zürich, we are looking for DevOps Engineer Kubernetes & API Management. This is a 9 months contract based in Zurich.

Main responsibilities

• Take the lead in enhancing and maintaining the development and operation of the API Management platform
• Improve engineering standards and drive continuous automation of processes and building and maintaining multi-stage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, Tekton, Ansible
• Develop custom plugins in LUA for our API Gateway an stay on top of latest developments in automation and platform engineering and educate other team members and stakeholders

Your skills:

• Knowledge in JAVA or Golang is a bonus as well as prior experience with any API management systems such as KONG, Apigee, or Axway
• Proficient at German and English both verbal and in writing, Spanish will be a plus
• good understanding and practical experience of DevOps practices and automation frameworks as well as knowledge with the implementation of API service architectures (REST, microservices)
• Experience with and opinionated about containerization (OpenShift), infrastructure as code, and other cloud platform concepts
• Experience with JavaScript, Java, Kubernetes/Openshift, API Management Systems
